Wooden Tops

So I'm throwing a baby shower soon for my sweet sister-in-law. And as the date of the shower (and her due date) approaches, my first-time-being-an-aunt status has made me suddenly aware of some of the more cool-ass toys that are out there in the world.

I've especially been noticing several different kinds of wooden tops. And I have to tell you: some of them are so gorgeous, Aunt Amy might have to just buy a few for herself. (You know, in case the baby wants to come up and hang in Brooklyn or whatever.) Check 'em out.

cool, yes. although, as official zookeeper to two of the world's wild-and-craziest boys, i feel compelled to point out the multiple ways in which these visually stunning objects can be used as weapons. Or destroyers of your most precious home decor. i speak from (far too much) experience.

You would not find it awesome if that oh-so-pretty top put huge gashes in your new benjamin moore gumdrop-painted wall, left an unsightly scrape on your beloved crate & barrel bar or drew blood from the tender flesh of your leg. Just sayin'.
