6 Workspaces by Nate Berkus

Through my side-gig over at Herman Miller, I am constantly looking at photos of other people's offices for my series "The Playlist" (check the latest post here). But today, in honor of Nate Berkus Day, I've decided to investigate workspaces that Nate either uses himself or has designed for other people. Above and below are some my favorites.

But oh wait--what's that you say? "Nate Berkus Day"? Aw, yeah. Today is a big experiment day in the land of design blogs to see how many of us will write about Nate in honor of his new TV show, The Nate Berkus Show, which launches on September 13 on NBC. It all started with this tweet from the girls at The Mogg Blogg, who suggested to Nate's Twitter handle that he fill the audience at one of his tapings with design bloggers. And Nate must be a smartie, because he immediately got the producers on board, and now it's turned into a "who is going to blog about Nate on June 14?" situation.

I'm not sure if you get a pass to a taping if you blog today or not, but I am taking part because I think it's a scream--it is SO amazing to watch what social media can do sometimes. What was just one tweet from some fans has now turned in a full-on free promotion that any marketing staff would KILL for. It shows how powerful the Internet can be when a brand (because he is a brand) stops and really listens to its audience. I can't wait to see what happens...

If you see anything cool out there, let me know. And be sure to check out the growing list of bloggers who are participating here. Happy #nateday!

thanks so much for joining in on our NateDay! It was remarkable what came from our one little tweet than to see the response from our design community was overwhelming! It was a GREAT day!
