SWAK
E-mail be damned; I still prefer a good old-fashioned handwritten card in my mailbox to an electronic one in my inbox any day (and my guess is that you do, too).
I'm someone who buys random cards even when I don't have an occasion to send one. I just feel like it's better to have them on hand, especially since cards also make cute n' cheap pieces of art--just slap 'em in a frame and hang. Here are a few recent purchases that may be sent to friends, or may be added to my art collection.
(And for the record, Harry.)

i have a drawer full (not a nice organized box of) of random cards, i love stationary.
i used to be into cards a lot in college when i traveled as a souvenir because it was all i could really afford. some of them were so pretty i did end up framing them. i haven't done that in years, this is a good reminder to get back into that habit.
Michelle--I used to do that same thing!
These are all so beautiful! I love your box, too...can I ask where you found it? P.S. - I say William AND Harry!
Court, it's actually an "occasion card set" that we made at work. (-:
Amy,
So true - I also prefer a card in the mail to an email in my inbox. There is something so exciting about receiving a card or a letter! This post made me think back to college when I used to receive beautifully written letters from my friend Laura who was traveling abroad for a year. She had great taste in cards and in stationary. I kept all of it!
i need that city story card. need it like you would not believe.
