7 Items That Were Supposed To Be Door Handles, But Are Not
Inspired by this post over at Daniel Kanter's "Manhattan Nest" blog on changing out the hardware on a bathroom vanity, I recently set to work finding some new door handles for a grody old TV stand that I got from Target back in the day. (I figured it was an inexpensive way to change the look of a piece of furniture I can't afford to replace right now.) (I'm on a kick--can you tell?)
So I got to searching "handle" on Etsy.com. And oh, how I was distracted by the totally-not-drawer-handle results! Check it.
[Incidentally, I have gotten NOwhere on my TV-stand-door-handle search. Got any recommendations? I am looking for something that's 96mm or 3 3/4". Awesome okay thanks.]

Ikea has a decent array of cabinetry handles that are stylish and affordable. They're typically close to their kitchen section.
Then again, you gotta be careful, You might end up coming home with $200 worth of napkins, wine glasses, a plant for the corner, etc. and no handles ;^)
I'm not 100% positive on this, but I'm pretty sure Ikea handles are all non-standard widths. As much as I HATE to say it, Home Depot does have a pretty large door pull/knob section, but you might be hard pressed to find something uber fabulous. Rejuvenation? Or ebay? I think you might get more results with "cabinet hardware" or "drawer pulls"?
I'm always enamored with Anthropologie's selection of handles and hooks and knobs ... not sure it's the aesthetic for your tv stand, but certainly worth a look!
God I love you guys.
