Article Excerpt:

Over the weekend I got to hit up "Tacos & Tequila: The Art of the Taco" at the 2010 New York City Wine & Food Festival. Basically, the idea for this event was to have some NYC's best Mexican and non-Mexican chefs concoct their own spin on the classic taco, and then feed those tacos to 300 some-odd people. The winner (at least in my eyes/stomach)? Hands down, the tacos from Toloache, a great who-knew? kind of Mexican restaurant near my office (my coworkers and I swear by its fish tacos and guacamole). Always nice to see the little guys come out on top, no? Ole, ya'll!

Event host Bobby Flay...

...and his taco.

Dos Caminos

Sam Talbot from Mondrian Soho and Top Chef (I know. Yowzah-hot.)

Marcela Valladolid

Toloache

(That's right. That's a bowl of dried grasshoppers.)

Tacos from David Burke Townhouse

Yo.
