Koo de Kir

One of my first-ever online home-design shop crushes was on Boston's Koo de Kir. The store has been open since 1997, and I THINK they've been online since 2004 or so (correct me if you know I'm wrong). Their retail store is nestled in Beacon Hill just off Charles Street, and it's very Boston to me--an interesting mix of modern and the

kind of "traditional" look I never get tired of.

Thanks to Barbara, Kristine, and team for letting my camera and me snoop around!

God Is in the Details

Because my favorite part is always in the smart little touches of a place, here's a few more pics from last weekend's wedding--a hybrid Hindu/Jewish celebration held at the Willowdale Estate in Bradley Palmer State Park. Loveliness (in every way)!

Bright, Bold, & Sparkling

Please-oh-please-give-me-more-of-that food? Check. Great big drinks? Check. Old friends? Check. A confirmed obsession with formal Indian saris? Check and check. Here's a peek at the Boston wedding I wrote about in my last post. What a beautiful evening. (Congrats, Maya and Jonas!)

(I'll close with my favorite pic of four old friends taking a moment to catch up. They look like queens to me!)

Inspired by India

I am writing this just before heading out for the wedding of my dear friend's sister up in Boston. The ceremony will have lots of traditional Indian influence, and by the time you see this post, I hope that I've been inspired by beautifully vibrant saris, bad-ass henna tattoos, and bellies full of amazing food (MY FAVORITE PART).

Photos will come soon. But in the meantime, let's all feel inspired by these interesting pieces. And also by the image of my happy face stuffed with naan bread.
